After calling customer service I was advised to use the 3M Blend version which shows the number '1' in a circle with a white dispenser cap. The results, documented at AMZN, have been amazing removing oxidized paint on my vintage 1962 (fiberglass painted) Corvette with a light color. It took several trips by car because I left it for 15 years. This left a very smooth finish and a great shine just because of the blending! The same customer service representative at the time also suggested using the circled product "2” with a dark gray cap as a follow-up product. This product is designed to remove all traces of fine abrasive paste from paint. Once again I did a few passes (2 passes on the sides and 4 passes on the hood and trunk) because I did so much of the rougher version. The gloss, depth of color of the paint, as well as the windshield/headlights and even the chrome are better than what I've already done, all thanks to that low grit polish. I am now moving to step 3 of the process and ordering the 3M Show Car PN #39026 for finishing waxing/sealing/protecting/detailing paint, chrome, windshield etc. These 3M sequential building blocks are amazing for my old paint technology and Chrome for my 60 year old classic car! I will post pictures when I finish applying for the show car product. Thank you 3M!
