Robust construction is the hallmark of this product. Installation was easy, although I almost bought it because of the door slam comments; I have found that adjusting the closing force is very, very easy. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and 5 minutes (or less) to open and close the storm door until you find the setting you want. The locking function works as described. After pressing the button, the door stays open in the right place. To close it, just press it lightly and the door closes at the set speed. As for durability; only time will tell and it is of course a necessary review update. Would recommend.
