Review on ASICS Gel Nimbus Running Sulphur Spring Men's Shoes in Athletic by Ben Almasri

A few years ago I wore the Gel Nimbus line and stopped buying them because of a serious design flaw: the eyelets for the laces weren't reinforced and a good, hard stretch on the laces to tie laces snapped They went through a couple of times and Asics offered to replace them but that didn't stop it from happening again and again. Luckily Asics fixed that recently and the lugs are all metal reinforced now so I placed my first order for the Asics Gel Nimbus for years with great pleasure. When this review was originally written I had just received my first pair of new Gel Nimbus shoes in about 5 years and have now updated upon returning - more on that in a moment The Nimbus 20 feel less soft and springier than previous generations and a call to Asics confirmed this - they are actually less padded than earlier ones re generations like the comfort i loved in the nimbus 12, 13, 14 etc sorry gone. I have a large foot and the 14D fits me perfectly, but the shoes just haven't been comfortable for a very long time. I like the new full mesh shell, it breathes really well - too bad it's not as soft as it used to be. I brought them back and switched to the very comfortable and well-cushioned Brooks Calderas shoes instead (note: the Caldera is a very wide shoe). If they hadn't changed the padding I would still wear them.
