I did not remove the heatsink, fan or cover. My truck does not have a rear engine cover. I simply removed the crankshaft pulley with a Dewalt demolition tool, unscrewed the five 10mm oil pump cover bolts, and then cut off the old wear sleeve with a dremel. To install the new wear ring, I heated it with a propane torch and placed it in the tool, tapered side down, so it would face forward when installed. Then I rapped with a two pound mini sled only a few inches apart! I then polished the new wear ring with 1500 grit sandpaper and installed the oil pump cover with the new gasket by pushing it in with my fingers/thumbs.
