Easy assembly. Baskets come as is. Metal brackets need to be attached to both of them to create levels. It was a little confusing at first, but I figured it out quickly. I use it for fruits and vegetables. Fruit on top and onions/garlic/potatoes on bottom. I recommend lining the baskets with a kitchen towel or something similar, as the metal rods will leave marks on the fruit or veg. (Pictured) I lined the top tier with a kitchen towel and placed a plastic garlic container on the bottom tier. Big size. Perfect for our kitchen countertop and under the cabinet. The rectangular shape makes it compact in small spaces. It is quite durable for kitchen use. Not thin at all. Small balls on the bottom make it easy to move when cleaning the rack.
