Pretty good product

It's been a while since I received this product and have been able to try it on my headlights to date. This is Canyon 06 and they were pretty foggy. I'd really like to take pictures, but oh well. One of my ceiling lights (DRLs) had a nail scratch on the cover (mine) but as I mentioned the headlights were also in pretty bad shape. The included sanding block works. good in not very foggy light, but after the first try (after initially cleaning the headlights with window cleaner) I used 1000 grit and sanded all the headlights with sandpaper. I even removed the nail mark on the DRL and then used the included sanding block. They looked awful when dry, but as the instructions say, they will look as done as if they were wet with water. It is true. As I sanded them I kept rinsing them and looking at them to see how clean they look when wet. When I was satisfied I gave it a final rinse and set it aside to dry. At the time of writing I had just applied a clear coat and let it dry before reinstalling them (I removed the headlights, it was easier and better to sand down. Then they leaned over and worried about getting paint on the fender , but that still could probably be done on a car) After applying a clear coat. say the truth. I didn't think they would look so good. They look almost new. At first I considered replacing them with aftermarket headlights, but after reading too many complaints about them leaking water I decided to polish the GM factory headlights and I wasn't disappointed. The only suggestion I can give is that you need to put extra effort into polishing them. Nothing comes for free, including your labor, so don't skimp on polishing. You'll thank yourself later. but make sure you keep them moist! Not counting the 30 minutes to remove and reattach the headlights, it took me about 40 minutes to sand, 1 hour to dry and a few minutes to wipe off the clear coat. I'll wait a few hours before reinstalling the headlights. Now they are drying in my garage, out of direct sunlight. It says they'll be dry to the touch in 1 hour and won't be exposed to moisture for 24 hours, but since I live in the south we usually get some decent dew so I might cover them with a blanket tonight until I'm only out for an hour get up . ha ha. This product couldn't be better for the price I'm talking about. I am happy with the results. Time will tell how good this procedure is. If possible I will update this in 6 months.
