This device, although relatively expensive, is quiet and efficient. I live in an old family home that has been converted into 1 large apartment and 2 studios. A conventional gas oven produces a lot of dust all year round. I also have 2 small long haired dogs that shed (one much bigger than the other). In the 7 years that I live here I have had many breathing problems due to dust, dry air and wool. While this device doesn't solve all of these problems, it does reduce them. It stays on all the time, doesn't use much power, and is quiet — so much so that I can leave it under my nightstand by my bed and never hear it running. There is also no need to change the filter. I think the only improvement I could wish for was that it could be designed to provide hydration capabilities during the winter/dry months.
