Seems a bit fragile so probably not suitable if children are around. I haven't broken any plastic yet, but I'm careful. Plays DVD well. SD card film format is very delicate. Get audio stuttering on some with what appears to be the same format. BOSS Support does not respond to email inquiries about what MPEG format specifications are required. Edit: (Finally they did it.) Works with an amp. I haven't tried dynamics. The manual is typical Chikomov gibberish. The menu system is not bad with a remote control. If I were you, I wouldn't swim. Even though the box says 'marine', it has a lot of open parts. Just grounded the parking brake wire for permanent video. Update: I converted the videos that didn't play without stuttering to DivX format and now they play without problems. DivX size didn't seem to matter until 1080, which is as high as I tested.
