Not sure about all the "easy to install" reviews. In the last few months we have replaced a dozen different lighting fixtures. This one was MUCH worse for the setup.1. The instructions were useless. Roll it into a ball and throw it in the fireplace as soon as you open the package.2. The two screws holding the canopy to the junction box are almost impossible to fit through the holes. (At least that's what I've seen in some other reviews.) 3. The screws need to be "preset" to the correct height for your junction box. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that. They are almost impossible to change and get to the height you want. So after dealing with point 2 above, you should remove it and try everything again. Four times.4. After all that, it still won't mount flush with the ceiling.5. Ironically, two pieces hold the main cover in place. Every other lamp on the planet has a decorative cover that serves this purpose. It has a hex nut that doesn't fit properly and is almost impossible to tighten. Then the cap, which doesn't quite fit the nut. It brings a lot of fun when you need to change light bulbs. The glass in the photo has a mottled appearance. Ours looks more like it was stolen a few times before someone put it in the box. I usually prefer to just live with products that are a little off. Not this one. After wasting 90 minutes of my day on this pathetic setup, I'm returning it as a matter of principle.
