I did not use them for their intended purpose. I've had something that keeps eating my young cucumber plants. I needed something that would let the sun and water through and it fit the bill. I nailed them to the ground so they wouldn't be blown away by the wind. I think they will work well for setting a picnic, but that's not why I bought them. However, I would recommend them for any purpose.
