my cat didn't care much for these clothes. She even seemed to ask to put it back on so she could take a nap when she got cold. She had a tough time because the armholes weren't wide enough to allow for forward and backward movement of the shoulder and she had to take shorter strides to move in them. I don't know if there is a way to exchange this for a size larger? . It's a very pretty sweater and it suits her petite figure well. She chose the color herself as I showed her the sweater color options on the computer screen before ordering and we did a test run with felt squares and safety pins to see the measurements and how she would compare to what she would be wearing , would react. something to do with her and that everything went well the day before so I think she understood what we were looking for when we bought a sweater together that day. I ordered a small gray one thinking it would be long enough according to the sizing chart, but it turned out that the collar goes up the neck much higher than expected and therefore leaves the butt open half of the cat's back. The collar stretches just enough to fit the head comfortably, but the armholes do not stretch to allow full freedom of movement and prevent the cat's shoulder from freely sliding forward towards the chest. The result for a cat moving around in a sweater would be almost comparable to a human trying to walk with their hips tied. because the sleeve rises above the elbow but doesn't reach the shoulder even though the cut technically looks like a tank top. it would also be better if the sweater was a bit longer so that it reaches at least the bottom just before the beginning of the ponytail. but otherwise her girth is perfect as she is rather petite but older. Good quality material, thick real jersey, not cheap itchy fabric and it seemed warm enough in it. If you want to get this I would say order one size up and be aware the shoulder width may not fit this opening! and it would be recommended for the seller to post the length of the hand holes for all sizes please. The back of the sweater may seem to shrink an inch or more when the sweater is wearing a cat. see photos. Future iterations of this fabulous look might work well with an expandable and much wider hand opening.
