Review on YILLEU Boys' Waterproof Lightweight Raincoats Windbreakers - Premium Jackets & Coats for Kids by Andrew Arneson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Size increases when layered

My son is 5 years old, 45 lbs, about 45. He usually wears a medium size 7 or 8. I would definitely order a size 8 or medium coat for him, but as I would like to wear a light fleece jacket underneath I would would like to increase 1 more size to make sure it has enough space and growth. I got this at 9-10 after following the size chart with my reasoning and I had to go 2 sizes up instead. If I don't want to layer or have room to grow, a 9-10 would probably be fine because it's quite long, but there's barely room to zip or slip my arms through the sleeves with the jacket underneath . The zipper has a problem at the bottom of th4 from time to time. The hood really isn't big enough for his 100% head and the Velcro under the hood is missing. Plus it's nice and the velcro on the wrist works great.
