NOTE: THIS IS A GOOD, STRONG SLIDING DOOR HANDLE THAT IS EASY TO GATCH BUT IT CAN ONLY BE SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE DOORFRAME AT THE BACK. Side! It has recessed molded bosses with internal threads on the back as it is only designed for use with the handle on the opposite side which has screw holes that go all the way through that handle and then are long enough to plug the pre-drilled holes from the inside reach carving on the back. this new handle and are correctly centered (screw to screw) the same distance as the holes in the other side handle, whether that handle is inside or outside. (The following should only be read if you plan to assemble this grip yourself. If not, stop here!) When I carefully disassembled the grips on either side, I saw that the screws were about an inch longer, but with the same thread size I could already attach this new handle to the inside handle and through the door using the same screw holes and the extra length screws would reach the female threaded lugs on the back of the new handle casting. FYI, the Big Orange Sign Store didn't have longer screws with the required thread size, but the local ACE hardware store did! Oh YES, another happy AMAZON customer (I mean my wife!) HER door is fixed.
