I have studied these BT adapters a lot. I use this with my Samsung Galaxy S8+ in combination with the "MyPhoneExplorer" software to automatically sync my phone at work without having to connect anything (I use a wireless charging pad). It's a little tedious to set up, but my only real complaint is that the file transfer speed is SLOW. In my case the reason is that I take a lot of pictures for work and they are very high resolution so the file sizes are large, but theoretically the BT 4.0 spec lets you work at much faster speeds than me. I've reinstalled the drivers, tweaked all sorts of settings on both the phone and the PC, but I still can't get over 200kbps. In theory, it could be 10x faster (25Mbps) than BT, but it's not. The distance is only 1-2 meters. The obvious solution is to use WiFi, but my employer doesn't allow WiFi connections to their network.
