I was looking for a USB powered speaker system that I could take with me on the road to play on the go. This one fits me very well as it doesn't take up too much space on my desk or in my bag. With these speakers you don't need a power outlet and you can easily deliver power and sound through a single USB port, which is nice. This is great when I have to give a presentation and need a portable speaker. It also works great for my desktop as the cable can easily stay connected to my laptop. I know a lot of people would like 5.1, but these speakers are great on their own. I can take it with me on trips if absolutely necessary, and I travel a lot, so having a good speaker set is important. The disadvantage of this is that the cable cannot be replaced. The cable is actually built into the speaker, so if you damage this cable you cannot replace it. I wish it would use a Type-C or Micro USB cable so you can switch cables if needed. USB-only also means you can't plug in your MP3 player or similar. It should only be USB. Also, you cannot control the color of the LEDs. It will only be through the colors. There are no other presets. Two speakers, one on each side. Indicator light to show it's on. You can turn it on by simply turning on the power supply at the top of the speakers. There is also a wheel at the top to control the sound. This is a simple scroll wheel to increase or decrease the volume. There is no mute button on the speakers themselves. The speaker is behind a nice heavy duty mesh that covers the speakers so you don't have to worry about anything pushing against the sound/speakers. It also means they won't get crushed or damaged when you put them in your pocket on the go. The controls are on the top of the speaker. Overall this is a great sound system. It's small and fits right under most monitors without interfering with your view. Due to its USB-only connector, you cannot connect devices with 3.5 jack to play music. It also lacks Bluetooth capability, which is a bummer. You also can't change the color of the LED on the speakers, which is a bummer. The cable is also not something you can replace. So if you damage the speaker, it's difficult to repair. In addition, it delivers clear and powerful sound while remaining portable and lightweight. It is great for outdoor movies as well as everyday use.
