Cheap quality ratchet - not worth saving

We are not new to slacklining. We have several slacklines from different companies to teach beginners the basics of slacklining. We were really hoping that we would like this slackline, but it is significantly inferior in quality to the Gibbon or Barefoot brands and cannot be adequately lined unless used at very close range (which defeats the purpose of a 57- foot leash nullifies). The ratchet is of very poor quality compared to other brands and often does not hold tension even when properly engaged. The strap is more elastic than other brands, making it even more difficult to properly tension with a cheap ratchet. We've had much better results with a traditional tow strap and ratchet than with this kit. If someone has never slacklined this might seem like normal quality, but compared to every other brand of slackline we have used and even compared to standard car straps and ratchets, the ratchet that comes with it is very flimsy and of poor quality . This, combined with the lower quality of the cord, makes it much more difficult to achieve and maintain the correct tension, especially for slackline beginners. A properly tensioned line (which depends on the quality of the ratchet) makes the difference between quick and easy learning in our experience. and have trouble learning. We think it's better to pay a little more for an established brand that uses a good quality ratchet, especially for a beginner. Gibbon is our favorite brand of slackline (and the instructional videos that come with it are the best way we've seen to learn to slackline quickly and without an overhead cheatline), while Barefoot is a decent economical option.
