The cam was out of specification. When the mechanic checked the cam, the height of the cam was one hundred and forty thousandths less than it should be. Called Comp Cams, they said they didn't change the grind on the cam. This camshaft was 268 and I wanted to replace the 268 camshaft that was in my engine. The old 268 cam showed no signs of wear and had more lift, so I decided to just put new lifters in and reuse. The machine works normally and has the same characteristics as before.
