Review on Aluminum Carpentry Precision Woodworking Measuring by Andrew Lyons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great little gadget that doesn't cost much but gets more useful every day.

This has become a new favorite in my shop for quickly checking blades and cutting tools on a variety of tools. I have a variety of different precision gauges and blocks for delicate work, but this is great for a quick double check of simple right angles, 45 degrees and height checks of +/- a few thousandths. Line thickness isn't razor sharp, but it's nice to be able to remember where I left off without breaking the big guns. Working with both imperial and metric scales, I appreciate the duality of scales. I just keep it in my apron pocket and take it out several times a day for a quick check. It is also suitable for attaching devices in combination with prisms. The more you use it, the more use you will find for it.
