Let me be clear that all iPad mini cases suffer from this: the case really does break. Obviously the hard case and lid are made separately and then assembled; While the hard spine is excellent, the cover is really poorly sized and protrudes prominently on all three edges (not the spine). This is annoying and makes the iPad feel uncomfortable in the hand when it is closed. Anyway, a 3-star rating might seem harsh, but if they cost $10 more than the $5.99 alternative, I would hope they have a slightly better fight and design. At $16 it's not a great value and a very average case. There is no reason to buy this over cheaper alternatives.
