I have an 85 pound Doberman and live in New England. He hates the cold but is very active. A winter coat is therefore a must. He manages to break every coat he gets (through traffic and attrition). That was enough for the whole winter and the next year. I love that it covers his entire chest and stomach and the leg straps look weird, but it's great because they fit snugly against the body without letting air through. After the first walk, he stopped paying attention. On days that were 10 degrees or below I put him in a fleece overall and he was fine. I recommend!
