Not quite suitable for grills and barbecues
Leading edge crisply burned on first use and folded 1/16th of an inch in width. My biggest downside with synthetic lathes was the thick edges. They push food instead of lifting it. This one had a sharp blade but I cut it off after it burned out. However, it's still thinner than most. Black lathes don't show any stains, but this one does. I keep it because it's better than my clunkiest lathe. But I'm still looking.
