My wife loves this chair for crocheting and sewing. There are no weapons to interfere. It suits her too. I suggest measuring the chair you already own before you buy it so you can determine if it will fit you. The underside of the seat would be too flat for me. Also note that the mechanism of the chair base and the chair body are quite heavy. No rolling problems but quite heavy when it needs to be lifted. Also suggest measuring your desired height range. On my short wife (5ft 6in), the height adjustment barely works; the lowest setting is all that works; The lift above the lowest setting is too high - her feet will leave the ground when she lifts it. As long as it looks good, it's solid.
