Review on Anker Powerline+ III Lightning To USB A Cable by Justin Herman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Disappointment The Anker Powerline+ III cable review may just be an angry dissatisfied review.

I bought a brand new 6ft Anker Powerline+ III, I had high hopes for an Anker product for the first time and I see a lot of great reviews on other Anker cables. So I bought this most expensive one. It was very disappointing. As I waited almost 1 month for delivery from Amazon due to Coronavirus. It holds a temporary charge on the lighting cable side or on the Lightning cable connector plug, and the other side with the word anchor does not work. But the plug didn't work either. mainly due to the fact that it won't charge unless you hold it in the charging position. I have cleaned any lint or dust from the iPad Mini connector. So it still didn't work. The Beats cable and my Apple cable work. I contacted Anker = they told me to cut the cable and show them the picture. Due to the fact that I didn't have a printer to print out my USPS receipt. They sent the first replacement in 1 week, same results. But this time it works on iPad 6 but still not on my iPad mini 4. So contacted me again so they told me to come back if I wanted. That's how I've done it ever since, it can't be used for me. Just a note: I think because the iPad Mini 4 has a lower terminal voltage, the Anker PowerLine+ III has a higher voltage. (I don't know if it will work on an iPad Mini 5 with fast charging and charging at a higher voltage than the iPad Mini 4. Overall it's a good, solid cable, but it just won't hold a charge if you have an Apple iPad Mini with lower voltage like me. I hope this review will be helpful for others. Sigh :(
