This product is very good - it saved me the hassle of scooping out a recycled glass jar in hopes of finding a lid, or messing around with old soda to whip around or used can when I want to make bacon for a recipe or breakfast. Easy to pour tallow, stable enough not to slosh even when the tallow is hot. I simply place it in my metal sink, away from the drain, and pour the grease onto the built-in, removable "strainer". After an hour or (maximum if you have a lot of lard) after two hours the silicone pot will be cool enough to refrigerate slightly so it hardens quickly. You can then toss the fat pad in the trash or store it in a pot for reuse. Rendered bacon fat is technically durable, but if you have curious pets it might be worth making access a bit more difficult, for example by storing it in the fridge. What I received was a genuine product and not a poorly made fake with inferior silicone.
