I just ordered a replacement for this shoe. These are by far the best indoor lounge shoes I have ever owned. They are light, very comfortable and make a well-made impression. Unfortunately one of the shoes got dirty and I decided to wash it. Instructions say machine wash but dry in the sun. I did it. About 5 days after washing, they started smelling badly. I thought maybe I hadn't dried them properly so I washed them again and left them in the sun to dry all day and again all day the next day. After two days they smelled so bad I threw them away. The measure of how much I like the shoes is that in less than 6 months I will be replacing them with the EXACT SAME SHOE. I love them and will continue to love them even when they are dirty because, despite the instructions, they don't take washing very well.
