It has a much faster processor, but unfortunately it feels slower than my old stick from 2016 in many ways: slower connection to my wifi, slower downloading of pictures of available movies , slower logging into services like Netflix or Hulu, slower buffering of streaming content. This is the second one I've tried. The first one was refurbished and had so many issues I sent it back, but this one is new and not much better. Also, it had weird intermittent issues connecting to my 5GHz (802.11ac) WiFi network. I eventually found that this stick didn't support all 5GHz channels, specifically U-NII 2C channels 100 through 136. So I had to go into my router and disable those channels, which not everyone can do. do. I understand that 802.11a standards are a moving target, but since these channels have been part of the standard for quite some time and Roku hasn't released a firmware update to allow all channels, I have to wonder if this limitation is hardware related . myself.
