Works well when used correctly

There are so many negative reviews here but my experience was very positive. I placed one of these in the center of the windshield above the rear view mirror between the two sun visors. I put it on last fall, probably a good six months ago, and it still hasn't fallen off. (One day it started peeling off in a corner, but I wet it a bit and stuck it back on the glass and it's stayed that way ever since.) I think the trick is to wash the inside thoroughly. windshield and then apply this product while the glass is still slightly damp. The moisture seems to help it hold up. As for the product itself, it works very well. It's mostly opaque, with a series of tiny holes cut in it. So you can see through to a degree, but it also lets through a little bit of harsh sunlight. I would prefer the product to be a dark shade, say 80% opaque, but with no pattern. What can I say - quite effective. My car, like many other newer cars, doesn't have a tinted/polarized strip on top to block out the sun. (I don't see why this once-standard feature is going away, unless it's to save automakers a few bucks.) As a result, even with the sun visors down, I can be blinded by bright sunlight falling directly between them. This will help soften it up a bit. I still get some flare, but it's much, much more manageable. Bottom line, this product isn't perfect, but it helps when applied properly to the windshield, and for the price, it's worth the money.
