Bought these to protect the rocker panels on my new Santa Cruz and also to show the transition for my elderly mother. There are no real instructions. Since it was chilly, I used a hair dryer to heat the metal and rubber before applying. The tears on the double sided tape came loose from the adhesive in many places but after I applied them and used a small metal roller from the center to the edges they seem to be sticking well. With this method, be careful not to stretch the rubber when attaching or twisting it. I cleaned the surface but otherwise did not scratch or alter it.
