I have an Iphone 8 plus and it only randomly charges. I have taken it out of it's cover and the random charging is the same. Sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn't. I have checked the connection on the battery and the light is on on the back of the device. No luck. I have it mounted on my motorcycle and while I ride, the phone slowly rolls down. I have tightened the ring on the back tightly. The vibration moves it though. I only use this to hold my phone now for the music on my phone.
