Okay, I had to figure it out a bit, but I didn't need any guidance. It's pretty easy to use. Radio reception is very poor initially, but don't be discouraged. You can stick a pin in the wall about three feet above the alarm clock, run the antenna up the wall, and wrap the end around the pin a few times. It is also recommended to attach it to a coat hanger which you then hang up, or to a piece of aluminum foil. There are ways to hide these settings so your space doesn't look cluttered. ;) I think to hide behind a picture frame. I can also paint the antenna white to match the wall. I'm also considering using masking tape and spray paint to paint the alarm clock white. This has been done before and I think I would have preferred a much lighter color. But yes, it does what I need and I didn't have to fret that I paid a lot for it.
