I bought these at the very last moment, my previous one shot coffee maker lasted right up to the day I received it. Personally, I washed the device and used it right away, but the first few cups didn't taste very good, so I poured vinegar and water over it, just rinsed it with water a few times, and then made another cup. and it was great. I've always had a black coffee maker, but this time I bought a white one and I really like it. The big plus is that it holds up to 14 oz. one cup while my other only made 10 ounces. (that's not enough for me). Also, I can now use my large cups where I couldn't use others. It's so worth the money, I love mine.
