Absolutely successful and a worthy tribute to the Marine Corps. It's heavy enough to let you know if it slips out of your pocket and has a very shiny finish. I was delighted to receive it to replace the brass clip I have worn for 40 years which is engraved with the Marine Corps insignia. This is what I would definitely consider a gift for a Marine Corps veteran or active duty member.
