On my Dell E7450 laptop with its notoriously problematic ethernet port which speed kept dropping up to 100Mbps or decreased, it was very stable for me. Other USB/Gigabit adapters that are unreliable and I've even tried one. This HP adapter seems to do the trick after a week of heavy use. It's good to see that HP still makes quality products (although the driver indicates the more generic "Realtek USB GBE Family Controller").
