Even when our children are grown, we like to keep toys at home in case friends with small children come to visit. This was a toy we bought with that in mind and as seasoned parents we were happy to find something that would be safe for even very young children but could also be enjoyed by older children. The individual blocks are well made and very light. We had toddlers from eight months to twelve years old who would sit and play with them. A little guy who comes to visit likes to bite everything and has bite marks, but luckily the blocks didn't break while chewing. These blocks are strong enough to build tall towers, but light enough not to hurt anyone when thrown. They make a great addition to any toy collection.
