Edit: TomToc replied to me after I contacted them directly through their website. They could see the Revain message - I'm not sure why they didn't check it sooner. According to the TomToc team, the USB-C to DisplayPort adapter doesn't work with DisplayPort -> HDMI connections - it only works with a direct DisplayPort connection to an external monitor. When I bought it it showed a device connected to a TV and the product description said it would work with TVs. TomToc Support has informed me that they have edited this product page to reflect this correctly. They said if you want to connect to a TV they have a USB-C to HDMI adapter that works for that purpose. At my request, the TomToc team sent me their USB-C to Ethernet adapter instead of the HDMI adapter (since I already had one). The quality was so good that I later ordered an HDMI adapter from TomToc to replace my Satechi HDMI adapter. quality material! I imagine this USB-C to DP adapter is also great based on the other two items I've used. Unfortunately I can't guarantee this, so I'll just upgrade it to 4 stars. <3I recommend this brand! Original post: I have a 16" MacBook Pro and have always used a different HDMI adapter. I bought this adapter to increase the frequency - I have a working DisplayPort cable that I'm using with another computer and 144 Hz. Nothing works with this adapter 😡
