I bought these shoes to wear to the beach. When I visit my father, he lives about a quarter of a mile from the beach. They make for a comfortable walk to the beach and I also like to wear them to the beach so my delicate feet don't burn in the hot sand and injure themselves stepping on shells. They are very comfortable and dry quickly. I wouldn't say there's enough support to wear them for a run, but they're pretty comfortable for long walks. I am very happy with this shoe
