It's a pretty hat, but it arrived all folded up, packed tightly in a plastic bag. This created some pretty prominent fold creases in several places on the brim of the hat. I didn't want to steam them out, as I wasn't sure if the hat's material could hold up to steam heat. So instead, I laid it out flat immediately, hoping that the creases would fall out on their own. After several months laying flat, a couple of the worst creases are still very visible. I'll go out on a limb and say that the way it's packaged really ruins the hat, to be honest. As a result, I have never been able to wear it even once since I bought it. In hindsight, I really should have returned it. but I'd also bought a green summer beach dress and made some matching earrings and a necklace, and I wanted a green hat to go with the "ensemble." It's apparent that the creases will never come out just by laying flat, so next year I'll probably have to take my chances on steaming it if I want to get any use out of it. It's a crying shame that this merchandise is packaged that way. Two similar hats I purchased from Walmart in previous years actually arrived unfolded and shipped in large, flat boxes that didn't damage them. So I had hoped this would arrive the same way. I do a lot of online shopping, and more and more merchandise is arriving to me already damaged. not by shipping, but being packaged already damaged at the point of sale. I guess we, the lowly consumers, are supposed to just accept it and be satisfied with getting any merchandise at all.
