This is a great GPS. I did a little research on GPS and decided I needed a lifetime map module as it is more economical. getting one with lifetime cards than buying a new device every few years. We once had a Garmin and it suddenly died (after almost 4.5 years). After considering cost and features, we decided on a different Garmin device as we were very happy with the Garmin we had previously. Furnishings were basic (almost no furnishings). the device was set up and started in a very short time and was able to fix the satellites very quickly. Routing is what you'd expect from just about anyone. There's GPS, but the Garmin interface is really great. With it you can easily enter addresses and search for nearby POIs. The only downside is connecting to a computer to get updates. The updater is very easy to use. to use, but you need to create a Garmin account first and navigating the site is confusing. After coming across the website I was able to activate the life card card that came with the device and I couldn't say anywhere on the website that I have life cards. I had to contact support via email who said I was fine. I was able to download and install the latest maps (it took a long time), but I think it might be my internet connection. Overall the device is excellent and we are very happy with this device. The Garmin website and required online account certainly needs improvement (my old Garmin required a program to be installed and the program would do everything). still a great device.
