Of course there are cheaper surge arresters, but they are very well made and worth the price. I always prefer an angled plug and recommend it over a standard outlet to make and maintain a solid connection - anything else might defeat the purpose of using one IMO. The braided cable is a nice feature and much more flexible than the standard cable commonly used. This makes it much easier to collect and bundle excess cord if you place it under a table like in my application. One of the best surge protectors I've ever bought. I have no hesitation in giving them my highest recommendation. If I need more I will buy them again.
