Ultra brittle plastic

The product is made of cheap plastic. After receiving this product and conducting an inspection, I heard something rattling in the belt. So just to be on the safe side and to make sure there weren't any loose screws in there, I opened it up and found the 2 mounting screws had snapped apart. I also noticed that the small plastic clip that held the cable from being pulled out was missing a screw. I don't know how it passed their quality control process, but it's not certain.

Accessories and supplies fire hazard

So that's one thing I want to give zero stars, actually negative stars. Got this thing leaving work around 5pm, came home when it was plugged in, maybe an hour and a half later. Plug in your phone charger for about 20 minutes and the ends where the USB plugs connect will be red hot. This is worrying and should be worrying for everyone. I wouldn't buy this again. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because it could start a fire in your home.

Not as shown: Left end cap missing

This image is for the product. I expected to get one extension plug that twisted right and the other twisted left. I needed one that pivoted left, but all I had was 2 of these, both pivoted right. If you actually look at the picture, they show that one goes left and the other goes right. It's useless to me now; waste of money. I think they just photoshopped the image on the right to make it look that symmetrical but didn't realize when they flipped the connector at the end it actually looks…

Well-made surge arresters

Of course there are cheaper surge arresters, but they are very well made and worth the price. I always prefer an angled plug and recommend it over a standard outlet to make and maintain a solid connection - anything else might defeat the purpose of using one IMO. The braided cable is a nice feature and much more flexible than the standard cable commonly used. This makes it much easier to collect and bundle excess cord if you place it under a table like in my application. One of the best surge…

Decent price for 2 in Accessories and Consumables

Overall I like it. This is a very good price for a 2 pack and the flat (and angled) plug is great for sockets hidden behind dressers/beds/other furniture. The slots on the surge protector are decently narrow, but not too narrow compared to an APC I recently bought. The fabric (nylon?) braiding on the cable feels nice to the touch, although the choice of gray pattern feels odd given the black surge protector versus black. I only have two minor complaints* The reset/off button is a little easier…

Not a real braided line, the line is not round like in the photo

There are many questions here. In the photos, the cord has a round cross-section. It is not. This is a ribbon cable. This greatly affects its flexibility and bending direction. It is also NOT braided line. This is a tougher, not very flexible plastic ribbon cable with a VERY THIN fabric material that looks "braided" covering the cable. The material dangles from the cord and can tear or get caught on objects very easily. What were they thinking? This is complete and utter dishonesty. The outlets

Excellent strip in the Accessories and Consumables section

I have a heavy printer on a stand with an outlet directly behind it. Added expansion output for printers and other items. The printer cable and another cable are very thick with very deep connector ends. This way my stand was about 5-6 inches from the wall. Something kept falling behind, and the only way to get it back was to move the printer (80#) and stand (very hard). I chose this over flat sockets because I would still have the depth of a thick cord and plug. This item has a "flatter" fork…
