Low Quality Swingarm Sliders

Mounted Swingarm Sliders on my bike and have been bench testing them. When I picked the bike up, the grip-like plastic part slipped off and my bike just fell back to the ground (luckily onto the stand). Is that generally a standard? Unless I received a defective one, but I don't know. Otherwise, the handlebars and frame sliders feel normal. 2 stars because I almost dropped my bike. coils remain.
