I have been a regular customer of Eucalan (various flavors) for a number of years. I use it for wool blankets (Hudson Bay and similar dotted blankets) and am very happy with the results. In fact, I've used it in both front-load and top-load washing machines on the shortest, gentlest cycle with cold water. You can also end the program early, after the first drain and spin (no rinsing or spinning) and Eucalan will not leave any residue or a soapy feeling on the coat. I'm not familiar with diapers, but with blankets I just lay them out to dry. The lingering scent, to me at least, is very, very subtle - almost completely gone in a day or two.
