The item originally purchased was defective, but the replacement works perfectly!
Don't waste your time and money on this! After installing it sounded like it was struggling to go up and down like my old one before it stopped working. then I noticed a slight bend in the antenna! Since I paid to have the old one removed and this one installed, I'm going to figure it out until it doesn't work anymore. TO UPDATE . I contacted the seller and he agreed to replace the antenna. I've had it installed for a few days now and it seems to be working fine - not as quiet as the manufacturer's original but a worthy replacement.
