Review on 🐠 Finnex Planted+ 24/7: Fully Automated Aquarium LED Fixture | 660nm Red LEDs | CC or SE Series by Adam Rogers

I can't comment on the durability of this product as I've only had it about three weeks. This photo was taken around 10am. Being 68 years old I'm not too computer savvy so I was a little apprehensive about being able to make custom settings for this particular LED fixture. I've read numerous reviews that if you leave it on the default setting of 24/7 there's a good chance you'll get a lot of algae growing. So I decided to use custom settings and watched a lot of YouTube videos to figure out how I would set this up. I changed the setting to 6am, 9am and noon. At 3pm I started changing the settings and went to adjust the blue lights. I cleaned everything at 9pm and they weren't out until 6am. I have to say my problem with Algea is that my aquarium looks cleaner than ever. I have completely lost the green algae stain. I have some kelp but I added more otocinclus and nerite snails and 2 amano shrimp. I have a 55 liter tank. I don't find this light as bright as I thought it would be, even at maximum settings. I love how it slowly lights up in the morning and my fish seem to really like it, the colors and fish look really pretty and I love watching the different lights in the tank from the morning until 6pm when it turns off. I think it's very good that you can reduce the amount of green, which definitely keeps the algae under control. I'm a bit skeptical about the six month warranty on this particular device and it's a bit annoying but this company has been around for a long time and I don't think they would be like this if they didn't make a quality product. With all of this, I enjoy my light. And I love even more the fact that I no longer have to deal with green dot algae. My plants have generally done well since the lighting was added and I have to say I am adding Seachem Excel on a daily basis.
