Review on Rechargeable Intensity Accessories Helmets Flashlight by Matthew Riley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked fine when it worked but failed too quickly

I just had a second tail light fail - secondly as it is a warranty replacement for the first one I bought. On this one (last winter) the rubber seal over the USB charging port came loose. Blitz sent a replacement, so all the makings for that. On the second, the same rubber seal came loose. This time I shrugged. I try my best not to ride in the rain but if I get caught he will die. OTOH, I don't know, he wouldn't have died anyway. Not a great print. Then it started to switch off spontaneously when I was out and about. I returned home and found it was off. I would charge it and it would behave as if it had just been turned on (which it did) and not as if it was being charged from a dead battery. It turned off while I was driving once or twice a week for several months. I rely on the tail light for visibility - life and health. Spontaneous shutdown is not very good. Two things: first, it's impossible for it to turn off accidentally, because not only do you press the button and it turns off, you have to hold the button for about 3 seconds for it to turn off. turn off, not just turn on in a different mode. Second, it's on my seat post. Except maybe hybrids of mutated cockroaches and manatees (this is Florida, after all), but I'm sure I would know if one of them ran next to me, wouldn't push that button anyway, because you have to put it between your legs take to get to the seat post! I have a 10 year old Cygolight LED headlight that still works well. Buy a Cygolight taillight.

Cons
