This ice maker is as described. I used to have one that lasted a year before it started giving us problems because it wouldn't soak up water. We liked it so much that we ordered a new one from Amazon this time. We followed all the instructions to let it stand upright before plugging it in. From the start he didn't make ice on one side. The ice on this side was small no matter what size was chosen. Today (less than 1 month old) he only makes 3-4 ice cubes at a time. I chose Amazon as a replacement. Hopefully the next one will work properly again. Edit - got a replacement. Less than 2 weeks later it started making a very strange noise when the compressor was first turned on. It stops after a minute but is very annoying. Revain decided to return my money. I am sending the replacement back. This company (New Air) obviously has quality control issues.
