This 1 mm thick elastic cord is almost unbreakable. I've always used 1mm and haven't had any problems with it breaking. I tried 5mm and it broke fairly easily. 1mm is great for making bracelets and other jewelry. Some people have trouble with knots staying tied and I just take some clear nail polish and blot the knot well, let it dry and do it again. If you do this a second time and want to hide the knot, simply thread the knot into the bead where it will stay as it will still be sticky from the polish. Then when dry, trim the strands with nail scissors as you can get very close to the knot and I've never had knots unravel. Great product and I have been using this brand for many years.
