As other reviews have mentioned, cat face paint begins to peel off EVEN with gentle hand washing after just a few days of use. I bought this stainless steel one (used for water) and the blue eco-friendly "plastic/non-plastic" one (used for food) from the same company. Aside from the peeling paint I think these are pretty good bowls for the price. Good starter bowls for my adult cat too. They are heavy/strong enough for my burly, messy eater and big enough to hold the amount he needs to eat at each feeding. Also deep enough to hold its water. Eventually I soaked/cleaned the paint and went back to using stainless steel for its water after rushing to the store and buying a cheap makeshift one. It's in the bowl like it's blue (it's under the surface, the paint doesn't peel off), I'd give it 5 stars. Only 2 stars due to fear of "my cat swallowed this paint" and the hassle of removing the paint.
