Review on πŸ”₯ Thermal Pad - Improved Heat Dissipation Solution: 70x20x1mm 2280 Heatsinks by Gabriel Rosenberg

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I thought this was the biggest gimmick I've ever bought, but luckily it's not!

I have 2 nvme in my computer, one is P2 and the other is Samsung 970 evo plus. Both get very hot during testing and gaming. I first heard about thermal pads when I bought an enclosure for my PS5 external SSD (which is also a 970 evo plus) and thought it would be a cool solution to cool the SSD that way and save space to save instead of using them. those large heatsinks that you have to deal with and that take up a lot of space in your system. So I went ahead and just tested the 970 evo plus for the sake of it (because it's the fastest, hottest and the one I play on the most) and without thermal pads I got about 3200Mbps reading and writing, but only under about 3020 Mbps. With thermal pads, I get 3516Mbps read and 3343Mbps write speeds along with a significant improvement in gaming performance, load times reduced even further and closer to PS5 SSD performance levels, and an overall stable and consistent temperature when fans work less while of games. .Installation is as easy as sticking a sticker on your bedroom door (I was a kid like that lol) and even after a day of use it's still hanging on my computer. I totally recommend this if you use nvme and are looking for a much more stable experience and want to save space in your PC case.
