I have a very warm relationship with this bottle. Right now I had them, probably 7-10. Sometimes they last 6 months. Sometimes they last several weeks. Almost every time the bottle's death sentence was the cap (except for one case when it took so long that the rubber on the bottle's walls wore away and became sticky and rough). In 85% of cases, the small rubber ring breaks, opening the lid. It's not the end of the world, but it definitely makes the bottle less attractive. If this is not done, any slight/moderate/big fall could eventually cause the cap to break. The top plastic cover is cracked. I had a button that locks the top clasp. If something could break the cap on this bottle, I've probably broken it at some point, but only because I love this bottle. He is with me everywhere. To work, to class, to the car, to walks, hikes, everywhere. Falls are inevitable and in about 70% of cases this leads to a devastating tear. That being said, there are two reasons I keep coming back to this bottle. 1. Customer service is outstanding. If a bottle breaks for reasons beyond my control (e.g. a broken rubber band or a small fall in the first 2 months) I contact the company who are always very helpful and happy to send me a replacement. They really care about their customers and that will always make me want to come back to them. This bottle design is one of the few that meets my "perfect bottle" criteria. It comes in 32 ounces, has a flip top lid, no straw, and easily fits in cup holders. And the gorgeous pink color is a big plus! Many companies have the exact same bottle (but with their own logo), but not all offer the same level of customer support. If they could figure out how to improve the cap's durability, this bottle would be the perfect bottle indeed. Overall I highly recommend this bottle but only if you have the patience to put up with minor inconveniences from time to time.
